Kurlansky, Mark. 1968. The Year that Rocked the World. Random House Publ. 2003. 435p. $26.95. If you think Gross libeled the Poles in his Neighbors, wait until you read this book. Quote: “The Poles cooperated in the murder of all but 275,000 of the 3,300,000 Jews living in Poland.” Ch. 4 is entitled to Breathe in a Polish Ear. The Poles were rebellious in the 1960s. The Gomulka government was an enigma both to the KGB and the CIA. Gomulka was an alleged anti-semite and yet was married to a Jewess. Moczar was planning Gomulka’s downfall way back in 1959. Moczar was adept at playing the Jewish card in Polish politics. By 1960, only 30,000 Jews remained in Poland. The Gomulka cabal was infiltrated with Jews. Polish communist youth were not always in agreement with their parents. Marcuse invented the ‘Jew Hippie’ of the 1960s. Michnik and the founders of the Gazeta Wyborcza were the most famous of the Polish, Marcusian ‘Jew Hippies’. These Polish dissidents leaked and leaked to the western press during the 1960s. Jan Nowak and Radio Free Europe in turn disseminated these leaks throughout the western world. Radio Free Europe was financed by the CIA. Nowak admired Kuron and Modzelewski right from the start. Michnik was a disciple of Kuron and Modzelewski. Michnik visited Radio Free Europe in 1964. Michnik’s mother was a Krakow born, Polish assimilated Jewess. The ZMS was the Michnik group. The liberal revolutionaries of the 1960s were Julian Beck, Judith Molina, Paul Goodman, Martin Sheen, Joseph Papp, Hair, Havel, Olympia Dukakis and Henryk Szlajfer. These were the Marxists who laid the ground work for the creation of the Solidarity movement. Many of these ex commies came out of all this ‘smellin roses’. Instead of liberating Poland, Nowak and Radio Free Europe gave Poland Michnik and his Gazeta Wyborcza.

Polish History

Christie, M.G. et. al. None So Blind. A Study of the Crisis Years, 1930-1939. Harrison Publ. 1947. 214p. Why did Poland refuse Soviet aid and alliance during the mid 1930s? Hitler wooed Stalin away from western alliance. Stalin felt isolated and threatened by Poland’s policy in 1938-39. Stalin’s purges in the mid 1930s were designed to rid many Soviet Jews from espousing a preemptive war against Hitler in alliance with the Allies. Stalin did not want to isolate himself with a one on one war with the Nazis. American Jews and European Jews steered the UK and the USA into a war against Hitler. Hitler had no intention of fighting against the UK and the US.
